You can adopt dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, hamsters, rats, mice, snakes, birds, really any pet you can think of!
Just click on a charity icon here or take a look at the How To videos on our Facebook page to show you how easy it can be to get started...
You can go to meet your potential pets, spend time with them to make sure you're a good fit, then when you've chosen one you'll usually get a home check, arrange a date to take your new fur-baby home, pay the adoption fee, and you have a new addition to your family!
The adoption fees vary with each charity but usually you'll be looking at around £40 for a rabbit, £80 for a cat, £100 for a kitten, £150 for a dog, and £200 for a puppy; the fees contribute to the charity's cost of neutering, vaccinating, chipping, flea/worming, plus all vet, food and shelter costs whilst they were there.
And of course...you'll be saving a life!

Local Charity Events
Local charities often have fundraising events, so we thought it might be useful to have buttons on here that link directly to the Events page on each charity's Facebook page, so you can easily take a look at what's on if you have a couple of hours to fill!
Charity events can be fairs with Easter, Christmas, Summer or Halloween themes, fun dog shows, fashion shows, murder mystery nights and quiz nights, to name but a few!
Some regular events are posted months in advance, ad hoc ones can come up just before, so it's worth keeping an eye on these pages, gives you something to do, they are usually a fairly inexpensive way to pass a few hours, and you'll go home warm in the glow that anything you do spend will make it's way to save an animal's life very soon after!
If you support any animal charities locally that we aren't showing here, then just send us the link to the Facebook page using the Contact Us button below and we'll try to add those too!
